Michelle CrichtonMichelle Crichton attended the University of Ottawa and studied both General Arts and Teaching. She holds a degree in General Arts and another in Education. Michelle's dedication to creative writing began at a very young age and continued throughout er life. After taking care of a bunny for nine years, Michelle was left with many fond memories and a deep understanding of the value that animals can bring to the lives of people. Her adult pet ownership experiences inspired her to write the first book, 'The Adventures of Vylette Bunny and Michie: Love at First Bite, ' which became a finalist in the 2021 Canadian Book Club Awards within the Kids' category. Her story also received a Canada Book Award and earned a Bookview Review Recommended Gold Badge. Always concerned for the well-being of animals, Michelle recently helped a stray tabby within her community and used the experience as part of her inspiration for her second book, 'The Adventures of Vylette Bunny and Friends: Michie on a Mission.' Witty, original, funny, creative and realistic, The Adventures of Vylette Bunny and Michie series is truly inspired by her own experiences. She depicts multiple perspectives in her stories to keep readers curious about the situations and emotions that the characters experience, leading to valuable discussions with children.Michelle portrays many of the ups and occasional downs that can develop from taking on a pet.
