Micki BareMicki Bare has been writing since preschool. She received her most cherished Christmas present at the age of seven-a thesaurus. After 16 years as an early childhood executive and six years in advertising as a writer, editor, and web content manager, icki temporarily resigned from the workforce to focus on family needs in 2012. She began working part time in 2014 as an associate editor for a parenting magazine. She now works part time for the newspaper that has been running her weekly human-interest column since 2000. She has penned three Hubbleville Series children's books. She was the recipient of three The Courier-Tribune Best Of Readers' Choice Awards, including 2012 Favorite Local Writer, 2013 Favorite Local Columnist, and 2013 Favorite Local Actress.
