He was an editor for Hanging Loose Press and Publications Director for Teachers Writers Collaborative. In the business world, he worked as a computer programmer for Chase Manhattan Bank, Merrill Lynch and TIAA-CREF. Happily married for 39 years, he is the father of two sons.
