Mindy C PitreMindy C. Pitre is an Assistant Professor of Anthropology at St. Lawrence University, Canton, NY. She received her B.Sc. from Laurentian University, M.A. from Memorial University of Newfoundland, and Ph.D. from the University of Albera. As a bioarchaeologist she has excavated and studied human skeletons in Canada, the United Kingdom, Egypt, Sudan, and Syria. She is the director of the Death in St. Lawrence County, NY project and her research interests include poorhouses and historic cemeteries.
