Rizk is currently an Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Mansoura University, Egypt, and has been a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Electrical Engineering and Automation of Aalto Universit, Finland, since 2017. His research interests include power system transients, lightning overvoltages in power systems, and transient electromagnetic fields. Dr Rizk received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Mansoura University, Egypt (2007 and 2011) respectively, and his doctorate degree from Aalto University, Finland (2016).
