Molan Eduardo GabanEduardo Molan Gaban is a lawyer with sixteen years of experience and a consultant on antitrust & competition, economic law litigation and international trade matters. He graduated in Law at Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC/SP),where he obtained his Master's in Economic Law. He holds a PhD from PUC/SP and New York University School of Law (as Visiting Fulbrighter). He is specialized in antitrust & competition as well as in international trade. Gaban has worked in various boutique law firms focused on economic law/antitrust as well as in the CADE in the city of Brasília. He has published several articles on antitrust & competition, economic law, economic regulation, as well as authored the following books: Direito Antitruste: O Combate aos Cartéis, published by Saraiva (winner of the Brazilian award Troféu Cultura Econômica, in the category 2008 best law book), Estudos de Direito Econômico e Economia da Concorrència (Juruá, 2009), Antitrust Law in Brazil: fighting cartels (Wolters Kluwer, 2011), Regulação do Setor Postal (Saraiva, 2012) and Direito Antitruste (4th Edition, Saraiva, 2016). He has been internationally acclaimed as a leading lawyer in competition/antitrust by the most important international publications of the sector, such as Latin Lawyer 250, Chambers and Partners, as well as Euromoney. He is currently a board member of the Higher Board of Legislative and Legal Matters of the Federation of Industries of the State of São Paulo (CONJUR/FIESP), leader and researcher of the Competition & Innovation Study Nucleus of the Pontifical University of São Paulo (NECI/PUC-SP). He is Vice-President of the Antitrust Committee of the IASP, Board member of the Fulbright Commission in Brazil, member of the Antitrust and Economic Regulation Study Committee of the Brazilian Bar Association (CECORE/OAB/SP), member of the Antitrust and Competition Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), member of the Antitrust Committee and of the Trade Law and Customs Committee of the IBA, partner at Tauil & ChequerAdvogados in association with Mayer Brown LLP heading the Latin American Antitrust & Competition Group, professor of Economic Law and International Trade.
