Muhammad Farooq UmerMuhammad Farooq Umer , With over two decades of academic, research, and field experience in public health, I have devoted my career to advancing public health through rigorous research, innovative teaching, and meaningful community engagement. I holda PhD in Epidemiology and Health Statistics, a Master’s in Public Health, and a Bachelor’s in Dental Surgery, along with certifications in Health Professional Education and Occupational Health and Safety. These credentials have supported my work across diverse healthcare systems in Pakistan, China, and Saudi Arabia. Currently, I serve as an Academic Editor for PLOS ONE and a peer reviewer for several international journals. I am also recognized as a PhD supervisor by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan, Lincoln University Malaysia and a few others. My academic and professional trajectory reflects a commitment to health equity, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the pursuit of evidence-based solutions to pressing public health issues. Beyond the classroom and research lab, I actively engage in public health practice. My work with The Global Fund, WHO, UNICEF, and USAID has allowed me to lead and evaluate national programs on TB control, maternal mental health, and primary healthcare reform. I have also been deeply involved in community-based initiatives, organizing oral health education campaigns, tobacco prevention workshops, and digital transformation events to promote health awareness and behavior change.
