Mumbi MwangiDR. MWANGI IS A PROFESSOR IN THE WOMEN'S STUDIES PROGRAM at St. Cloud State University. She received her bachelor's and Master's degrees in Education from Kenyatta University, Kenya, and later obtained her Ph.D. in Education with a minor in Women's Sudies from Iowa State University. She was the 2015 Carnegie African Diaspora Fellow at the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University, South Africa, in addition to doing a one year Policy Fellows' Program in 2011 at the Humphrey School of Public Affairs, University of Minnesota. Her scholarly and research interests include curriculum and pedagogy, international education, feminist methodology, qualitative methodology, and women and education. Dr. Mwangi has published articles in the areas of feminist methodology and feminist scholarship of teaching and learning, and is also the author of a book entitled, We Will Have Gained Ourselves: Narrative Experiences of African Women Pursuing Higher Education in the U.S..
