N L BraunNick Braun grew up in New York and Chicago during World War II while his father served in the South Pacific with the Marine Corps. After the war, his family moved ten times in twelve years due to his father's sales job. Nick joined the U.S. Air Forceten days after high school graduation, and used his free time to complete college. After leaving the USAF, he moved to Texas and joined the JC Penney Company as a manager trainee. His career in retail spanned the next 28 years with several companies, until he retired. He then began volunteering at a school in Dallas, and spent the next 29 years substitute teaching until retiring for real at the age of 74. Nick is married and has two children. Read More Read Less
