NAA DEI HUSHIEI'm a qualified mental health nurse, but more importantly, I'm a mum. When my son was younger, he struggled a lot with regulating his emotions. With a speech delay, it was even harder for him to express himself, and that often led to frustration and eeling overwhelmed. Few people were patient with him, but, as a family, we learned to listen and adapt to support him in ways that truly helped.As part of my role, I help people find healthy ways to express emotions and manage stress. Using my professional background and lots of research, we utilised simple strategies that helped him manage big feelings without hurting himself or others. I originally created this book as a guide for him. But I realised it could help other children and families too. My hope is that it offers calm, comfort, and connection to anyone who needs it.
