Nael JebrilNael Jebril is Associate Professor at the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies and Senior Lecturer in Journalism at Bournemouth University, where he previously served as director of the MA Media and Communication programme. He is former Academi Fellow in Media and Democracy at the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism and the Department of Politics and International Relations at Oxford University, where he taught media, public opinion and politics. Previously, he held visiting academic roles at the University of Southern Denmark and the University of Amsterdam. He is a co-recipient of the 2016 Harvard’s Goldsmith Book Prize and the 2018 International Journal of Press /Politics Best Book Award. He is currently a Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy.
