Nagla RizkDr Nagla Rizk is Associate Dean for Graduate Studies and Research, Founding Director of the Access to Knowledge for Development Center (A2K4D) and Associate Professor of Economics at the School of Business, the American University in Cairo. Her rea of research is the economics of knowledge, information technology and development, with focus on business models in the digital economy, intellectual property and human development. She is a founding member of the Access to Knowledge Global Academy in collaboration with the Information Society Project at Yale Law School and partners from Brazil, China, India, South Africa and the United States. She is an affiliated fellow of the Information Society Project at Yale Law School, member of the Advisory Board of IQsensato international research and policy think tank, and member of the board of the Genero Initiative for copyright. Rizk served as Chair of the Economics Department at AUC, taught at the University of Toronto and served as research advisor for Egypt's E-readiness project at the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology. She received her PhD in economics from McMaster University in Canada, and her MA and BA in economics from AUC. Read More Read Less
