Nanibah Chacon

Nanibah "Nani" Chacon is a Diné (Navajo) and Chicana artist. While Chacon is most recognized as a painter and muralist, her art expands across disciplines, including illustration and installation. Her most notable works include lage-scale paintings, murals, and installations in the public arts sector, where she has twenty years of experience. Chacon's work focuses on the integration of sociopolitical issues affecting women and Indigenous peoples as well as her personal philosophy that art should be accessible and a meaningful catalyst for social change. She lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
