Naomi AyalaBorn in United Estates and raised in Puerto Rico, Naomi Ayala received her Masters of Fine Arts in Writing and Literature from Bennington College in the state of Vermont. She is a member of the Board of Directors of DC Advocates for the Arts-a nonproit organization advocating the just allocation of funding for the arts in the District of Columbia. Distinguishing herself as a poet who writes in both Spanish and English, Ayala is the author of two books of poetry in English- Wild Animals on the Moon (Curbstone Press), selected by the New York City Public Library as a Best Book for the Teen Age, and This Side of Earl (Curbstone/Northwestern University Press).
