Naomi WagerI trained as a Physical Education Teacher (Secondary) and chose to specialise in Dance whenever the opportunity presented itself. My interest in Dance continued throughout my teaching career and led to my involvement in community dance projects bth as a youth dance group leader and a performer in an adult dance company. Through my work as an advisory teacher I began to work with primary children delivering in-service training to teachers and delivering sessions to support the development of Dance in primary settings. After having my own children I found myself in the company of even younger children and began to work on creative projects with pre-school children both locally and further a field. I quickly realised that there was a lack of material to help willing but non specialist practitioners deliver dance and , inspired by my experience, co wrote ‘The Little book of Dance’ published by Featherstone Education Ltd in 2004. I am now teaching P.E again but continue to be involved with early years through ‘Busy Bodies’ a dance group for mini- movers that I run during term time. Read More Read Less
