Naser TavajohiDr Naser Tavajohi got his master's degree in chemical engineering with specific focus on separation process. During the master period his research was in direction of fabrication, modelling and optimization of flat sheet membrane by non-solvent inducd phase separation. He also studied membrane formation by thermally-induced phase separation from lab scale to pilot scale for his PhD thesis. Naser received his Ph.D. in 2015 from Hanyang University and the University of Calabria. Dr. Naser was one of the first researcher who pointed out the importance of sustainability in membrane production by publishing several papers in his PhD period. During his academic career, he introduced several green solvents for preparing polymeric membranes such as acetyl tributyl citrate, triethylene glycol diacetate, and Methyl-5-(dimethylamino)-2-methyl-5-oxopentanoate. The latter is now commercially available with the name of Rhodiasolv PolarClean. He has a registered a patent in the US, EU, JP, CH, and KR for manufacturing fluoropolymer membranes. Currently, he is the director of a research group in the chemistry department at Umeå University.
