Natasha S. Alford is an award-winning journalist, author, and media executive. A former schoolteacher and mom, she is passionate about teaching children to love themselves and their family stories. She is the author of American Negra a memoir about growing up African American and Puerto Rican in the United States, which won an International Latino Book Award. Natasha currently serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Content Officer at TheGrio. She lives in New Jersey with her family.
