Nathalie RubensNathalie Rubens is a fine-art photographer based in New York city and Dutchess County. She is most interested in youth and aging, using her camera to grapple with ideas of memory and the passage of time from a feminine perspective. Her backgrond in history and journalism inform her work as a photographer. Nathalie received a BA in History from the University of California at Berkeley and an MA in Foreign Policy and Economics from Johns Hopkins University. She worked as a journalist and in international development before working as a financial analyst. She currently serves on the boards of the American World Jewish Service, a global human rights organization, the Shalom Hartman Institute, an educational center devoted to Jewish pluralism, and the Jewish Community Project of Lower Manhattan.
