Navnith KumaranDr. Navnith Kumaran is a former Emeritus Scientist of the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research, New Delhi and a retired Senior Scientist of Agharkar Research Institute. He also served at the University of Calabar, Nigeria as a senior faculty mmber in the department of Biological Sciences and Faculty Associate in Geology. He has contributed immensely to palynology, vegetation dynamics, and climate change over the past 40 years. His current focus of work on Late Quaternary using modern analogues has immense potential to reconstruct long and comprehensive palaeoenvironmental and climate records and to provide a stronger basis for developing strategies for sustainable management of key environmental processes and their interaction with human activities.
