Ned HustonI have spent decades teaching writing because I love to write. I love everything about it. And I love to read. I've been reading and writing science fiction all my life, and I had a short story published in Terry Carr's anthology UNIVERSE 17. I gave p writing for 14 years because the publishing business is nothing but a road block business. But now that self publishing is possible, I've started writing again, and I'm having the time of my life. I'd already learned how to write a novel in a month, and now I'm learning how to revise. I read and revised my first novel more than a hundred times. That took a year and a half. Revising for me is a matter of crafting my writing so the reader can have the same experience of it that I have-in other words, fun, fun, fun. The first draft was great-good enough to please me-but I found my readers couldn't appreciate it as I do. Thus, revision. But now that I'm learning how to revise, perfecting the sequels should not take so long . I would like to get the revision process down to a month or two, and I think I'm going to be able to do it. I'm also learning how to self publish and self promote, how to make a Web Site, run a business, etc. I'm enjoying it all. Will I succeed? Will anyone else ever love my books as I do? My life has become a novel. You're just going to have to wait with bated breath for the next chapter, and I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I do. Read More Read Less
