Ned McHughNed is a retired secondary school teacher with a long association with Drogheda. He completed a Masters in Local History and published Drogheda before the Famine: urban poverty in the shadow of privilege 1826–45 (Dublin, 1998) as part of the MaynoothLocal History Series.
