Okiemute AkpoghenetaOkiemute, also known as Ox Monica's Son, was born in Delta State, Nigeria. He came to England as a young kid in the early 90s, where he fell in love with Hip Hop and RnB. These music genres played a crucial role in helping him acclimatise to a new cuture and way of life.After gaining a bachelor's degree in Marketing at the University of West London (formerly Thames Valley University), he went on to be one of the key creators of Bound2blow, a highly influential brand in the UK music scene in the mid-2000s. Shot 5 times in 2006, after attempting to stop a disagreement in a nightclub, he then faced a mental health spiral which led him to be sectioned under the Mental Health Act in 2010 and again in 2014.
