P T Mellors grew up in a Derbyshire town known for its Crooked Spire (still there) and its heavy industry (long gone). He is now retired from a lifetime of varied jobs in different parts of the country and lives in the neighbourig county of Nottinghamshire. Foolsmeadow Days is his second novel.
