P. J. G. RansomP. J. G. Ransom has written twenty three other books, mostly on transport subjects. In 2008 his book Iron Road: The Railway in Scotland was shortlisted by the Saltire Society for Scottish History Book of the Year. He lives in west Perthshire with hiswife and dog, and has many years operated his own steam launch on the loch's and canals of Scotland.
