Pamela S MeyersAs a child, Pamela S. Meyers began creating stories, using her paper dolls, but didn't realize her calling to write fiction until much later in life when she signed up to take a creative writing class, thinking it might be fun. She wrote a short stor based on her grandmother's diary from 1900, and, although nothing came of it after receiving her grade, it sparked a love of writing fiction that still burns today. Pam's novels include Thyme For Love, Surprised by Love in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin (a reissue of Love Finds You in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin), a 1933 historical romance set in her hometown, and Second Chance Love, a contemporary romance set at a rodeo in rural Illinois. Her novella, If These Walls Could Talk, was published in 2017, in a collection called Coming Home: A Tiny House Collection. Pam is very excited to have her newest release coming from Mantle Rock Publishing, also set in Lake Geneva. Safe Refuge begins when the Great Chicago Fire of 1871 forced many of the wealthy industrialists and bankers to move their families north to Wisconsin. They settled on the shores of Geneva Lake and over the decades, their large homes and mansions became legend. Safe Refuge is about Anna Hopewell, whose wealthy family becomes displaced and moves Lake Geneva. Raised by a loveless mother and an often-absent father, Anna has had everything wealth can provide except love until the fire changes her life forever. Pam's latest books in the Newport of the West series are Shelter Bay (May 2019) and Tranquility Point (May 2020). Rose Harbor is scheduled to release in 2021. Pam is a long-time member of American Christian Fiction Writers (ACFW) and is involved with her local ACFW chapter. She is a monthly contributor to the Heroes, Heroines, and History blog.
