Pamela UgwudikePamela Ugwudike is Professor of Criminology at the University of Southampton, UK. She has international expertise in the ethics and governance of Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems, with a focus on the data-driven technologies informing criminal jutice policy and practice. Professor Ugwudike has led interdisciplinary projects on the ethics of advanced predictive tools (2019-2021) and online social networking algorithms (2021-2025), with funding from the Alan Turing Institute (the UK's national institute for data science and artificial intelligence) and the Economic and Social Research Council respectively.
