Paran Kim

Paran Kim was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea. After earning a fine art degree, she worked as a painter, nursing home staff, and art teacher for young children. However, she soon discovered her true passion for creating chilren’s books and became a full-time illustrator. Her artwork features vibrant colors, particularly when depicting children and animals, which evoke feelings of warmth and tenderness. Through her illustrations, Paran is able to expertly capture a wide range of human emotions and portray them in various situations, creating deeply relatable and engaging stories for readers of all ages. When she isn’t drawing, she enjoys singing and playing the guitar. She’s lived and worked in Germany since 2014.
