Patricia Johnson LasterI'm not a professional artist...I've never even had a lesson! Painting to me is just grown-up coloring! But something happens when I paint. Wars, political incorrectness, covid, the recent divorce of another film star, political squabbles, all vanish and I'm somewhere...off on a cloud...with my painting. It has always given me distance and time away from my regular profession of teaching psychology to university students. I've loved teaching at the college level, but sometimes I still need time away. Even now, when I'm retired, painting still gives me distance and time away that I think all of us need in our busy lives. So I've written this little book about it and, well, even though I'm not a very good painter, hope that my paintings and thoughts provide inspiration for others to seek their own 'time away.'
