Patrick DominicPatrick Dominic was born to Roman Catholic parents in Klang, Malaya, in 1944, a year before the Japanese were defeated and the British took back the country. He was baptized at the French-style Our Lady of Lourdes Church. He spent his early boyhood ad teenage years around the church, where he was alter boy, and where his grandfather was catechist. He went to some of the best Roman Catholic schools - the La Sallean Brothers Schools - in Klang and in Kuala Lumpur. After completing the Cambridge Overseas School Certificate exam in 1962, he went on to work for Radio Malaya in 1964 at Federal House. He has a passion for Shakespeare and modern fiction which has lasted for more than five decades now. He began teaching English later in life, when he took up a course in English phonetics. After retirement, he taught English in private colleges, and English for IELTS, SAT, IB and Cambridge Checkpoint English examinations.
