Patrick SeemanI was a 17 year old kid when I wrote Contest. The inspiration for the book originally came from me growing up while questioning basically everything that makes up human society. I know that sounds weird. During the development of the novel,I had spent my time writing out what I was feeling, instead of trying to create a plot. This is because I thought that writing about something that mattered was the most important part of the process. I wanted to create a story that people could understand and relate to, instead of a story that people read one time and then threw out. I hope I met my goal considering you are reading the about the author page right now. I spent most of my time at this age dreaming about what I want to be, honing my guitar skills (I like metal), and working at a golf club. I don't even like golf.
