Patti WhitePatti White was raised in the military and worked as a probation officer for the State of Colorado before turning to academic life. Formerly a theorist of postmodern narrative, she now teaches creative writing at the University of Alabama. In 2000 sh won The MacGuffin National Poet Hunt, and, in 2001, she was awarded the Anhinga Prize for Poetry for TACKLE BOX, the title poem of which was made into an award-winning festival-short film and released in late 2003.
