He holds a Ph.D. in American history from the University of Georgia (1972) and a law degree from Georgia State University School of Law (1986). The historical setting in Their Wild Island is reviewed in more detail in his book Saving the Georgia Coast published in 2020 by the University of Georgia Press. He currently lives with his wife Livija in Atlanta, stays active in local politics, and is the political editor for the neighborhood newspaper, The Porch Press. Read More Read Less
