Paul SoharPaul Sohar (born 1936, in Hungary) found his way as a 1956 refugee to theUnited States where he continued his studies in philosophy and chemistry.The latter subject secured for him a day job in a research lab, but at night heimmersed himself in literture. After early retirement on disability, his sporadicpublications grew to an avalanche of poetry, prose, and translations. His ownpoetry has appeared in three books, one of them a prize winner WaywardOrchard (Wordrunner Press, 2011), and the latest being In Sun's Shadow(Ragged Sky Press, 2020). His nineteen volumes of translations have earnedhim four prizes, most recently the Balassi Literary Translation GrandPrize (2021, Budapest, Hungary).
