Paula ConstantBetween 2004 - 2007 Paula Constant walked over 12500km through eight countries, including over 5000km through the Sahara with her own camels. Her first two books, Slow Journey South and Sahara, were published by Random House and became bestsellers. Hr journey inspired the idea for an historical fiction series. Paula moved to Granada, Spain, where she lived for several years whilst researching medieval Spain and the Arabic conquest. The Votive Crown is the first novel in the Visigoths of Spain series, for which The Saharan Queen is a prequel.
