Paula Ellison FranklinPaula Ellison Franklin was born and raised in the small city of Parkersburg, West Virginia. She married her high school sweetheart in 1991 and later decided to pursue a college education. Paula always dreamed of becoming an author, so she began writig her first book while in college. However, English was her worst subject, and she doubted her chances of success. As a result, she decided to set her writing aside to focus on her academics, ending up obtaining her Master's degree in school counseling. Fifteen years after marriage, Paula and her husband welcomed their son. However, her life took a significant turn a year and a half after her son's birth when she was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis at the age of 36. This diagnosis meant she could no longer participate in activities she once enjoyed with her family, such as hiking, traveling, and sports. Motivated by this change in her life and her experiences working with high school students, Paula got back to writing the book she had started while in college. Initially, she wrote just for fun, but after a devastating fall in 2019, she decided to dedicate herself to writing full-time and finally published her first book in March 2025. Paula enjoys writing books with a darker theme, featuring characters who are often antiheroes or possess a shadowy side, which reflects questionable traits. Her stories typically have multiple plotlines that the main character is involved in, showcasing struggles they must overcome while also finding a love interest. In addition to the main character, she puts effort into developing secondary and tertiary characters as well, bringing the reader into the world she has created. Read More Read Less
