Peggy PelonisPeggy Pelonis is President of the American Community School of Athens Greece (ACS Athens). She has worked in upper school administration for over twenty years. She is also a transnational Psychotherapist that has been director of a mental health commnity center in California and has worked as a trauma counselor for major businesses and organizations. She was specifically trained to work with trauma, related to possible aggressive acts, during the 2004 Olympic Games. Dr. Pelonis has been on the faculty of the Master’s Psychology programs for the University of Fullerton, the University of LaVerne USA and has taught at the University of Malta. Dr. Pelonis is the author and co-author of numerous journal articles, book chapters and magazine & newspaper articles, as well as four books: Change in the Journey of Life, Everything Changes (currently published in Greek), Resilience & the International Mobile Family; navigating Changes and Transitions and Adlerian Group Counseling and Therapy: Step-by-Step. Articles and book chapters focus on educational leadership and managing educational change. She holds a BA and MA in Psychology & English literature, an Executive MBA and a Doctorate in Education.
