Penny Long MarlerPenny Long Marler is professor of religion at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. She was the project director of the Resource Center for Pastoral Excellence at Samford (2003-2008) and co-principal investigator of a study of the effects of clegy peer groups funded by the Lilly Endowment, Inc. (2007-2010). She is a coauthor of two books, Being There: Culture and Formation in Two Theological Schools and Young Catholics at the New Millennium: The Religion and Morality of Young Adults in Western Countries, and many articles and essays.
