Phil PantanaPhil Pantana was born on a Wednesday in the month of July in Lima, Ohio, the first born son of Joseph and Alma Pantana. Phil has two brothers, John and David, and a sister, Regina. They grew up in NW Ohio in a farming community where they attended Elda Mennonite School, within walking distance of their home on Bliss Road. The school only went to the eighth grade. The four siblingssang together and made two recordings. Phil then attended Elida Local School in the Village of Elida. After graduating from high school, he attended Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. He graduated from Midwestern Broadcasting School also in Chicago. His educational experiences include: graduating from Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC, Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary in Lynchburg, VA, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, TX, and Dallas Theological Seminary in Dallas, TX. Phil was a member of the faculty of Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA, and taught in the areas of Communications, Music, and Theology. Healso started the school Yearbook, Selah, started and programmed the school FM radio station, WRVL, and started the Praise and Worship Studies program with Dr. Robert Webber from Wheaton College in IL, and Northern Baptist Theological Seminary in Lisle, IL, Chicago suburbs.The Pantana Family, a mixed gospel quartet (Phil and Joy, his brother John, and his wife, Linda), made recordings, and sang on the Old TimeGospel Hour TV Program with Dr. Jerry Falwell, Sr., telecast from Thomas Road Baptist Church in Lynchburg, VA, where 'Big Jerry' wasthe pastor.
