Pierce H RussellBorn and raised in upstate New York, Pierce H. Russell Jr. enlisted in the U.S. Army after graduating from high school. He was deployed to South Korea in the early 1970s and served as a sentry dog handler with the U.S. Army 110th MP (Military Police)Company at Camp Ames. Upon return to the U.S. and discharge from the army, he attended and graduated from (then) Dean Junior College with a degree in Business Administration. While journeying west across America after college, Pierce worked at a variety of business endeavors.
