Piergiorgio SettembriniPiergiorgio Settembrini is a professor of Vascular Surgery at the University of Milan, the President of the Emilio Trabucchi Foundation, and an advisor to Silk Biomaterials, SRL. He has previously been a professor of Vascular Surgery at the Universit of Modena and Milan and Chair of Vascular Surgery at San Carlo Borromeo Hospital in Milan. He is a founding member of the Italian Society of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery, a member of the European Society of Vascular Surgery, where he is a Distinguished Fellow and the Vice President of the Italian Chapter. For many years he also has been the representative of Italy to the European Board of Vascular Surgery of the Union Européenne des Médicins Specialistes (UEMS) and was named as Honorary Fellow of the European Board.
