PoorSara S. Poor was educated at Cornell and Duke Universities. After teaching briefly at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, she took a position as Assistant Professor at Stanford University. In 2002, she joined the faculty at Princeton University. Inaddition to teaching, she has held administrative positions in the German Department (DUS, DGS, Acting Chair) and in the Program in Medieval Studies (Director). She is the author of a prize-winning monograph on the medieval mystic and author, Mechthild von Magdeburg, as well as numerous academic articles on a variety of topics.
