Prabhakar Mahalingam

M. Prabhakar is a Professor in the School of Electrical Engineering (SELECT), Vellore Institute of Technology, Chennai, India, since 2019, having previously been Associate Professor at the same institution since 2012. He is also associated with th Centre of Smart Grid Technologies since 2022. He received his Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Anna University, Chennai, India, in 2012. His research interests include power electronics, power converters, high gain DC-DC converters, and DC microgrids. Prof. Prabhakar has co-authored more than 50 research articles in various high impact factor journals and conferences, is an active reviewer for various journals, and has received seed grant funding of Rs. 4.53 lakhs from VIT Chennai. He also received the Outstanding Teacher Award for his excellent teaching and research contributions in 2009, and the Research Award from VIT Chennai for his research contributions since 2012.
