Prosper BazaanahProsper Bazaanah is a Lecturer at the Department of Anthropology and Development Studies, University of Johannesburg. He holds a PhD in Development Studies, MPhil in Development Studies and BA in Political Science with Philosophy. He has experience wrking in fields like environment, water and sanitation, lecturing and other corporate experiences. His doctoral thesis examined “community water governance for sustainable local development in northern Ghana”, a project funded by the National Institute for the Humanities and Social Sciences (NIHSS), South Africa, and the Council for the Development of Social Science Research in Africa (CODESRIA), Senegal. He is also a recipient of bursary awards from the University of Johannesburg. His research interests include water and rural livelihoods, environment and sustainable development, decentralization and local governance, community development, local development and political ecology.
