Rana P SinghDr Rana P. Singh is a Reader in the Department of Biosciences, M. D. University, Rohtak, India. He is teaching courses in Plant Biology and Biotechnology to graduate and postgraduate students since 1986. He earned his first class M. Sc. in Botany fro DDU Gorakhpur Univ., Gorakhapur and Ph.D. in Life Sciences (Plant Biochemistry) from Devi Ahilya University, Indore, India. He has more than 70 research publications including original research papers, reviews and book chapters in reputed International research journals and books. He has edited 5 books published by International publishers. He is fellow and member of various academic societies. Dr Singh has been awarded R. D. Asana Medal from Indian Soc. Plant Physiol., New Delhi and JEB Young Scientist award of The Academy of Environmental Biology, India for significant research contributions. He is recipient of INSA, New Delhi and UNESCO, Paris Biotech. Fellowships and visited twice at University of Guelph, Canada for advance research. He has visited Yunnan Agri. Univ., Kunming, China and hosted three Senegalese Scientists for research collaborations. He has guided many students for Ph.D., M. Phil, and M. Sc. degrees and completed many projects in areas of his interest. His group has contributed significant work in nitrogen relation to plants. Dr Singh is Editor-in-chief of an International research journal, Physiology and Molecular Biology of Plants and on editorial board of three other journals.
