Randy E ColeRandy E. Cole, retired from the 6th Judicial District Department of Correctional Services-Iowa, in December 2014. He has worked in Human Services & Correctional Services for over 35 years. Mr. Cole is a certified Sex Offender Treatment Provider, Leve II, and Past Chairperson of the Iowa Board for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers (IBTSA). He currently is the sole proprietor of R. Cole Consulting, LLC; a private investigation/polygraph service and consulting business. He is a Master Trainer certified by Dr. Karl Hanson, Solicitor General, Public Safety, Canada through the Dynamic Supervision Project (DSP) of Sex Offenders; a collaborative multi-jurisdictional study to validate the STATIC 99, 99-R, STABLE 2007, and ACUTE 2007 sex offender risk assessment instruments. It is one of the most comprehensive and widely used sex offender specific risk assessment formats currently available in the field. Mr. Cole has also been a national trainer and consultant in sex offender risk assessment and sex offender management since 2004. He has collaborated with other sex offender specialists through projects sponsored by the Center for Sex Offender Management (CSOM), Council of State Governments (CSG), as well as other national, state, and local agencies. Mr. Cole has an Associate's Degree in Human Services from Kirkwood Community College. He has a Bachelor's Degree from Mount Mercy University in Criminal Justice Administration. The author is currently pursuing Graduate Studies.
