Raphael F EstevaoRaphael F. Estevao has earned his Niveau Gant Jaune in savate boxe française, a Gant Rouge in savate defense, and another Gant Rouge in savate baton defense. In 2000, he competed as a part of Team Canada in the first Coupe du Monde Assaut in Paris, Fance, before earning his certification as a moniteur de savate boxe française in France a year later.

Inspired by the lack of English language books on this combat sport, Raphael wrote Savate. It's his first book. He lives in Montreal, Quebec, where he heads the savate kickboxing program at Concordia University. You can connect with Raphael on
