Reinaldo Aguiar
Reinaldo Aguiar is a researcher and former Google Search engineer, named as the sole inventor on two U.S. patents awarded to Google for his work on social network analysis and data optimization. His career at the intersection of high finance and tchnology includes roles as a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs and as a key engineer at Twitter, where one of his code changes increased annual revenue by $48 million.
After becoming the target of a sophisticated global surveillance and harassment campaign, he transformed himself from a software engineer into a counter-intelligence operator. Using his deep knowledge of data systems, he fought back in a stunning act of asymmetric warfare: he captured and decoded the secret global database of the network hunting him, exposing their methods of control.
Project Diosdado XI is the chronicle of that battle. Today, Aguiar dedicates his time to developing counter-intelligence software and is a vocal advocate for prioritizing software engineering as a matter of national defense, warning that the war for freedom in the 21st century will be fought with code.
