Rex Beach
Rex Beach (18771949) was an American writer who was born in Michigan but raised in Florida. He attended multiple schools including Rollins College, Florida and the Chicago College of Law. He also spent five years in Alaska prospecting as pat of the Klondike Goldrush. When he was unable to strike it rich, Beach turned to creative writing. In 1905, he published a collection of short stories called Pardners, followed by the novel The Spoilers (1906). Many of his titles have been adapted into feature films including The Goose Woman and The Silver Horde.
