Richard CassidyRICHARD CASSIDY studied history as an undergraduate at St Catherine's College, Oxford, in the 1960s. After retirement from a career in the gas industry, he returned to history, with an MA and PhD in medieval history at King's College, London. His PhDthesis 'The 1259 Pipe Roll' is the basis for an edition of that roll to be published by the Pipe Roll Society. Since completing his doctorate in 2012, he has published several articles on thirteenth-century royal finance and administration.
