Dr. Kraus wrote over 40 textbook and monographs on topics such as recreation fundamentals, program planning and leadership, and therapeutic recreation. He has also served as a consultant to many agencies, including the Job Corps, the Office of Economic Opportunity, the YWCA, and numerous colleges and public agencies. Dr. Kraus received the Distinguished Fellow Award from the Society of Parks and Recreation Educators, was selected as the Jay B.
